Bringing in the bales. This artwork was created for a local art festival competition. It was for the black and white category. I was over the moon when it won 1st prize in its category. The image was captured on a visit to Newby hall near Ripon during the annual tractor festival. Apart from showing fields full on tractors they also have live demonstrations. This picture was taken during a baleing demonstration. After the bales were made the workers then loaded the bales onto the back of the trailer.
Job Done. This farming artwork is of two farmers having a chat after finishing loading the bales onto the trailer. The original image was taken during the tractor festival in Ripon Yorkshire.
Old style farming pictures offer a great opportunity for farming pictures. I like to get my own images for my artwork to make the painting unique from others. Farming has changed loads over the years especially the machinery. I have found the best way of getting unique farming pictures is by going to local event such as the Great Yorkshire show and the tractor festival. Having two young children also gives me and the family a great day out in Yorkshire.
